The programme at the building level is not static. Consider facility sharing – with other internal or external users – for every function and feel free to reconsider floor area. Some of these function types – like faculty laboratories – could also be accommodated in other buildings on the campus. This means that sharing space functions with other faculties is possible. Changes can be made in the considered floor area of functions and in the amount of functions, based on arguments from trends, other references and presumed university or faculty policy changes. Basic rule for the positioning of functions is: the more users a function attracts, the more central its location should be.
